Peeople are constantly stereotypying my friend and putting her in the lesbian catergory in she is constaly complaining. What is it that makes her look like one?

Maybe she just looks a bit masculine. Either that or they know it gets to her so they call her a lesbian for kicks.

If you look like a lesbian often means that you are.This means they are assuming,someone who looks like a lesbian could hate women so they are not going to want to be stereotyped as a lesbian.

Without a picture, I would suggest checking the usual stereotypes:

Hair cut – very short vs long
Clothing – dark, mannish, clunky boots, vests, ring of keys on belt loop vs. feminine styles, heels, etc.
Lack of makeup
Posture/grace – does she move gracefully or stomp around?
General mannerisms – i.e. sitting with legs together or ankles crossed, speaking without yelling/interrupting
Interests – tomboyish (sports, fishing, hunting) or more girlish (arts, music, dolls, crafts, etc.)?

There are exceptions to all these possibilities. The easiest thing for her to do is to ask whoever expresses that opinion to ask them why they are thinking it is so.

people are always stereotyping, there are so many hot lesbians out there and many masculine straight women.
but lesbian look probably means she’s masculine in look and maybe she dress a bit like a man also.
