Do you accept or agree a wedding reception before the marriage day ?

i find in many marriage invitations like this……….

”wedding on 15th between 7.30 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.”

please attend wedding reception on 14th evening from 6.30 onwards. 8.00 p.m. dinner. Light music by so and so.

No, I have never been to or heard of one that has been that way.
I think it is extremely weird, but whatever floats their boat I suppose.

I have never seen this. The reception is in celebration of the wedding ceremony, how can you have it before the wedding? What is is celebrating? Something that has not even happened yet? Who does this?

I have never heard of that. It could be a cultural thing.

I have been to one reception before the wedding, it was horribly tacky and very disorganized. Guests were very confused, the order of events just didn’t make sense. It’s unlikely I would ever attend another.

it is fashion and routine affair in marriages, because of people’s convenience. Many people are busy and could not attend marriage and for those this reception is arranged. But, they may change it on the wedding day instead of previous day of wedding.
